A sweet story

Photo

Last year at this time our long time bubble tea loving customer Chris proposed to his girlfriend Kristi via our storefront window, she said yes and now they're happily married. In the meantime they moved to Colorado, but came back to pay us a visit. Chris had us put up another message, this time for their 1 year anniversary. We'll never forget her face when she saw the window the first time. He distracted her as they were walking in, and then walked her out, and turned directly to the front of the store where the message was. Tears were shed, and yeses were said. It's moments like that, which make it amazing to run a small business and have great regulars whose lives you can participate in. By the way Chris likes Mixed Berry fruit bubble tea, and Kristi likes Passion Orange Guava.

Enjoy this great song by Koop. Nice wacky video too, in no way meant to resemble the aforementioned couple although the song itself is about love and is beautiful.

Barbara from the Club

Dscn7863

We met Barbara about a month ago when her colleague introduced her to our delicious Mango Peach Smoothie w/ Tapioca, and she's been a regular ever since! Barbara works right across the street at the Boy's Club. We love seeing her because every time she comes in, she brings her sweet radiant energy that cheers up the whole store. She told us that she used to sing rock n' roll in her early years. No wonder!

You're the best Barbara! We wish you the best of luck and a speedy recovery from your knee surgery. Hope to see your lovely smile soon! 🙂

It’s friday (again)

Turtle_eating_strawberry

We're going to cover four things in this blog. Iced tea pitchers, Paris tea, Chemical Brothers, and a picture of a turtle eating a strawberry.

So it's friday, we've got some new iced tea pitchers from Rishi. They're under 20 dollars, and will drastically improve the quality of your summer.

We also have Harney and Son's Paris tea back in after being sold out of it.

We were playing some music in the store, and it occurred to us that we're probably one of the only "tea rooms" in New York that would play this gem

And, to round it out, here is a picture of a turtle eating a strawberry, as promised.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Awesome shirt

Our customer Roxy had a great pixelated shirt. We thought we’d post a
pic. Her and her friends enjoyed some fruit bubble teas. Great motif.

We’re seeing a trend*

Photo

We're seeing a trend right now at Thirstea. It's customers getting their nails done to match the shirts of the staff. Today Winn wore a muted turqoise shirt to try to throw them a curve ball and of course one of the regulars matched her nails to it perfectly.

It's team work, and it's how we roll. We keepz it real.

*: Fictional explanation for real picture.
